Changing rules and regulations are making it impossible for smaller radiotherapy centers in the Netherlands to survive as entirely independent providers. Our client already had a long-standing relationship with a teaching hospital, but now wanted us to help it forge a permanent partnership to keep in line with the regulatory demands.
Since this was going to be a far-reaching cooperative arrangement, we opted for a step-by-step approach. Our role? First, we organized and facilitated a series of joint sessions to hammer out a shared vision and strategy. On that basis, we then finalized the operational aspects with both parties. And, last but not least, worked out all the financial aspects in the form of a solid business case. Throughout the process, our expertise in financing and financial modelling proved invaluable.
After six months, we were able to round off the project with an agreement signed by both boards. The synergies we had forecast were soon achieved, and to this day both sides are happy with the outcome. Our work has provided a sound basis for a lasting partnership.
