New report on the health economic benefits of self-care in Europe

European healthcare systems face a huge challenge: an ageing population and costly innovative therapies drive the need for larger health budgets. In addition to a growing scarcity of doctors and nurses. Self-care has the potential to alleviate the pressure on healthcare systems, however its value is often overlooked. In our recent study “The health economic benefits of self-care in Europe”, done in collaboration with GSK, we have shown the important role that self-care plays.
