Transforming Regional Healthcare through ICT Infrastructure

Achieving Structural Financing and Implementation

Customer Challenge: Establish a regional ICT infrastructure to enable seamless sharing of patient and care pathway information.
Things at Stake: Access to relevant patient data is essential for regional collaboration and transforming care pathways (shifting from hospital care to outpatient and home care). This transformation is a key objective outlined in the Dutch ‘Integral Health Care Agreement’ (IZA).
Key Question for Vintura: Assist in creating a plan that aligns with the IZA requirements to secure funding for implementation and ensure long-term sustainability.

Developing a Comprehensive Transformation Plan

This project produced a structured and persuasive plan, which included a detailed cost budget based on a clear action plan, a robust business case with ambitious yet achievable KPIs, and a set of milestones to tie everything together. A major driver of success was aligning the many stakeholders (board members, subject matter experts from various healthcare providers, and insurers) to ensure a common understanding. With this shared understanding, we were able to draft a plan that met all criteria, was recognizable to all, and served as a practical guideline during both the implementation phase and beyond.

Achieving Structural Financing and Implementation

The approved plan secured a budget from the Ministry of Health for the implementation phase. It has served as a guideline for continuous monitoring and ensuring smooth execution. This project has led to enhanced patient care by enabling seamless data access across organizations, reducing waiting times, and eliminating the need for double intakes.

I have an opinion and wear my heart on my sleeve, but remain open to the story of someone else.
