I have been working as a consultant in the Dutch healthcare and life sciences sectors for more than a decade now. Before that I spent several years as a project leader in the industry, and also conducted numerous care-related projects for international aid organisations. In 2004 I complemented my training as a mechanical engineer and in marketing (NIMA) with an international MBA. That gave a thorough foundation to deal with the often complex organizational and strategic projects I now guide as a consultant at Vintura.
I gain energy from complex and challenging issues in both healthcare and life sciences. One of my strengths is the ability to unravel these and break them down in manageable chunks. In many cases that process begins right at the start of the project, when we structure the challenge and devise a clear approach that will satisfy the client. Always key to this is how we ensure maximum participation by all concerned, so together we can achieve the best results. As well as preparing and facilitating working sessions, I support the project team with my deep-seated expertise in strategy, organization (processes and structures) and the development of financial and general business cases.
Alongside my work as a consultant, I enjoy active sports like competitive sailing, mountain biking and snowboarding. I am married and outside work I am kept very busy by my two sons. I also consider it important to do voluntary work and I am involved with various community organizations in Soest, where I live since 2012.
